I Think...

I think one of my resolutions for this coming year will be to try and journal something about each day.  I'm making a Christmas gift for my mom that involves memories of her past and she's having trouble remembering things.  Not in an Alzheimers way, but more of a there's so much that happened, what sticks out the most.  I tend to do that myself.  I found a few entries in an old journal (handwritten) and was really surprised to read the thoughts there.  I do wish now though I'd had kept more of them... the only way to change that is to start now I guess.

It's raining here again...and it's supposed to snow tonight.  *Sigh*  When does winter come to an end?  At least the ice from last week is gone now and most of the snow melted off.

My sister Sandy, her husband, my niece (25) and her stepdaughter came up to bring mom her Christmas present last night.  It was nice visiting with them.  They even brought Christmas dinner to mom.. lol.  We had Ham, Chicken & Dumplings, rolls, green beans and baked beans.  Way too much food, but the effort was super nice.

And apparently, we have big deer here.  No one really hunts on our land.  I shot 3 deer at once though with my camera. ;)  Anyhow, they are large since it's safe to live here...but you don't see them very often.  While my sisters husband and Carl were outside talking, they came across some deer poop.. lol.  It fascinatated both of them because it was so big.  Kelly swore the deer in the yard the other day were the size of elk... maybe they've migrated. *shrug*

I'm still working on one more thing for Christmas and then I'm finished.  I just can't get motivated enough to say "alright, it's time to do it."  I know for sure by Monday I'll be in high gear.. LOL :)

Carl's Christmas came early!  His truck was ready and waiting for him Thursday morning.  I have to say, I can't say one bad thing about Geico.  They're fast, courteous, helpful and decent priced... we'll stay a customer as long as they'll have us.   And the auto body shop... if you live near us and need a recommendation, just say the word.  This guy treated us very well.

Well, before I close for today, I think I'll do a Tuesday meme.  LOL, it's only Saturday, but hey... who's counting?

10 New Year Resolutions (at least)
1) Exercise more - this one is always here, but it needs to be.
2) Take more pictures each month and then make it a habit to print at least 10-20 of them out.
3) Make the effort to connect with friends and family by phone calls, get togethers & emails.
4) Journal something every other day.
5) Head to bed by 10:30
6) Save $1000.00
7)  Every other Sunday plan some kind of special family activity
8)  Date night once a month.
9) Go on vacation for a week.
10) Read a new book each month.  I've spent too much time reading what's online instead of whats inbooks.. lol. :)
