New curriculum and crazy roads.

Sarah & I drove to Independence for a curriculum sale today.  It was fantastic!  I bought over $400 worth of books for only $100.  I know I'll get out of them what I paid for them so I'm just tickled.  We also got the last parking space in the lot.. lol.  I felt bad, but I felt blessed too.  The only thing I need to buy is Sarah's Physics book.

Sarah drove back home and I don't know who designed the roads in that town, but there were some really strange exits.  Usually when you get ready to go on a highway, you don't have to cross across a lane of traffic unless you're going left on that highway.  Not here... to go right, you have to make a left across 3 lanes of traffic.  ?  Yeah, ok.  So.. lol, when we figured out where to make the turn, wouldn't you know a policeman is sitting there and let us cut in (we were in the wrong lane even).  I'm sure he ran our plates and found we were from out of town.  Surely locals understand the backwardness of the roads now.  But we made it with only one other weird interchange moment and we were both very relieved to get on I-70 and head back home.

Trip perk:  Stopping at QuikTrip and getting a fountain Diet Coke with vanilla... very tasty.
