In mid December, Carl went in to have a checkup and talk with the doctor about his incessant ice eating. They drew blood and found his iron levels dangerously low. The doc put him off work for a week and sent him for some tests during Christmas week. The results came back with the cause as ulcers. So...they put him on Prilosec (or something like that) to coat his stomach and had him take 650mg of iron a day.
He went in for a follow-up on the 6th (2 weeks after this was done) and his iron level had raised by 2 points! It's awesome news and we are thanking God.
