Some anniversary.. lol.

Soooooooo... It's January 7th and I woke up this morning to the temperature outside of 60° and in Missouri...when the weather is warm when it should be cold, that means we're going to have storms.   And boy did we.   Since 3pm, we've been under tornado watches, severe-thunderstorm warnings, tornado warnings.  We've seen a lightening show like you wouldn't believe, lost power for an hour and a half, watched a hail storm cover the yard with a white blanket in minutes.

So before this all started, on Saturday, Sarah was eating a chip and all of sudden complained that she had something sharp in her mouth.  We thought maybe a chip was lodged, but no... she had a piece of her filling move (how?  I don't know) or something like that.  So I called the dentist today and they were able to work her in late this afternoon and file it down.  At least they were able to get her in and get her pain free again.

After we leave there, we run to the store and then over to pick dh up.  On our way there, we heard that the next county over was under the tornado warning.  We were hurrying home and made it there just as the storm started.  I went over to visit with mom for a while and when we came home, we started on the cupcakes.  A dozen were made and then the power went out.

We waited and waited and when dh came home, we decided to go out to eat, stupidly forgetting about the cupcakes that we put on the counter to cool.  However, the hound dog didn't forget about the yummy smell that filled the room.  While we were out, she stood up to the counter and helped herself to SIX of those babies.  Why she didn't do a few dishes while she was there, I don't know.  We called the vet and they said she'll probably have an upset stomach at the most.  Stupid dog...no, smart dog, stupid me.. lol.  In my defense, it was dark and I couldn't see the mistake that would be coming.  *Sounds good*

So we ended up at Dairy Queen and had fish sandwiches & mushrooms.  It was ok, but the restaurants are kind of slim pickings around here.  It's like burger, burgers, tacos, burgers, burgers, chicken, chinese, burgers, burgers, pizza, pizza, pizza, burgers.  Ehh... at least I didn't end up having to cook.

Now he's fast asleep on the couch and I'm watching tv... 19 years and some things never change.. ROFL. :)

And last but not least... with warm weather comes warm smells.  It's one of the 'perks' that come from living by a livestock sale barn.  ******GAG******
