Run Around...

So yesterday, I went to the doctor with my mom.  She was having some trouble hearing and when she talked you could just hear the wetness in her voice.  I thought maybe she had some fluid built up on her ear and he'd give her a zpak or something.  It's a walk in medical clinic, where you see the same doctor always (he looks like George Foreman.. lol).  Anyhow, with most walk in places, you expect to wait an hour/two because it's an emergency kind of place, but not here.  Usually we get in within 20 minutes.... however, it was a different story this time.  We waited 2 hours.. lol.  I've never had to wait so long and can you guess why?  The place was full of sick people!!  FLU ridden people all around me... I've been hoping and praying that I avoid it.   I did feel bad for them though, they looked horrible and then to have to sit and wait in a small cramped room, how uncomfortable.  So we finally made it in and the doc said "you have sand in your ear, you been playing in the sandbox or something?".. lol.  The only thing mom could think of was when she shook out a rug that had some sand on it..so I guess it's a possibility that some flew back in her ear.  Well, to make a long story short, he flushed her ear.  She was not happy about that as it made her dizzy and scared her something awful with the whooshing of water running in it.  But she made it through, he gave her a zpak and hopefully she feels better in a few days.

While we were out,  dh called and said "is today the day we have our taxes done?"  I was sure it wasn't and thought nothing of it.  Sarah calls later and said, "mom your tax appt is at 2:30."  CRAP.  We're still at the docs office and almost finished there... and it's 1:30.  I was a 1/2 hour from home and then another 20 min from the tax office... so if I got held up at all, I was going to be late.  But I wasn't and made it through, so I could cross that task off my list.   Now it was home to make dinner and then head out again...

This time I went to a book study with the ladies at our church.  We're studying, "Get Out of That Pit," by Beth Moore.  I really enjoyed the first night and I think the whole thing is going to be very interesting.  At least I know what book I'm reading for this month.. lol.

So anyhow, after that was over I made it home and worked on helping a friend get their website up.  I wanted to upload it that night, but we were treated to a lightning storm like you wouldn't believe.  I've never seen such crazy weather here as I have this past year.  After that... there wasn't much left to do other than head to bed.

So... Obama ended up winning Missouri.  We voted McCain.  I don't know... I just don't like Obama... can't really put a finger on it because he seems okay... but like I said, I just don't know.

Now to watch American Idol!  I can't wait until they move on into Hollywood week... I'm tired of auditions.
