The Not-So-Dreaded Dentist Visit

I've written in the past about my dental appointments.  At one point, I said I hated going to the dentist and the next time I shared the story of why I'm scared of dentists and the reason it had been 7 years since my last visit.  But today...it's a whole nother world.  I went to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned along with a regular 6 month checkup.  Six months ago, they did the same thing and I was so apprehensive, but came out for the first time in my life with the report of no cavities.  So today, I never even realized, until we were done, that I actually enjoyed visiting with Dr. Ed, his office staff and that there was absolutely no angst or anxiety in me whatsoever.  And I got another no cavities report!  Seriously...in 40 years of my life, this is the first full year of good dental checkups.  It's wonderful what a great Dentist can do for someone.
