We went to my moms house on Christmas Eve. It's always fun to spend time with her. Christmas morning, I put a disclaimer out that the first one up had to make breakfast. Strange as this is... I was the first one up. Never before in our history have I been the first one up on Christmas Day, but today... what a big surprise.. lol.
All in all it was a really nice day! The girls loved their shoes. They were so surprised to get them and said "you sounded so sincere... we really didn't think you had the money for them!" LOL. :) It was worth it... to see the the look of surprise.
Sarah really wanted Guitar Hero 3 and that was sold out most every time we looked. I found Guitar Hero I & II on Black Friday and picked that up... lol, she hasn't put it down. She's like a kid in a candy store. When she stops playing it's because her fingers are hurting.. lol.
She also got an electric blanket, money, gift card to Subway, Sudoku book, upgraded cell phone (Razrs were free.. lol) and a cd.
Kelly was so hard to buy for this year. She didn't want anything that was of any size. She did say her dream gift was a cell phone. We looked and looked and thought and thought and finally came to the decision to forgo the prepaid phone idea. It just wasn't in the month to month budget. We did think that as she's growing older and attending more functions, she should have a cell phone though. So we added her to our calling plan and she teared up when she found out it was really hers.
Carl got a new watch. That's what he wanted and he was happy with it. I didn't really want anything this year other than a 4 slice toaster and my mom picked one up for me. I was surprised though. DH was so thoughtful and surprised me with a new digital camera. He bought me a Fujifilm S700. I couldn't figure out how he was able to get the money without me knowing about it though. He told me he cashed in a vacation day and had some money saved from his Friday night job. It was probably the best gift he's ever thought about giving me. Normally he's a Christmas Eve shopper and I get strange things, but this was perfect.

Anyhow...that was our Christmas.
Oh, that sounds great!
